The Young Americans Performing Arts Summer Camp takes place over five days – four days of fast-paced rehearsal leading into an unrivaled, fully-staged performance. Our unique teaching style provides an encouraging environment for students to realize their potential and achieve the seemingly impossible goal of producing a performance in under a week. With 40 diverse, international cast members, our team is able to reach every student to reveal their best qualities as performers and as people. DO NOT miss out on this opportunity!

SCHOLARSHIPS

Limited partial scholarships are available to students who have financial need. Please apply during your online registration.

AGE RANGE

Camp is open to students in grades 3 through college for the 2020-2021 school year.

CAMP ATTIRE

Students should plan to wear comfortable clothing and supportive shoes throughout the camp. Every camper will receive a t-shirt before the final performance and should wear this shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans during the performance.

Participants should bring a packed lunch for every meal. We highly encourage campers to bring a refillable water bottle and snacks, as there will be breaks throughout the day.

Be one of 3,000 families across the world opening their doors to this amazing experience! As a non-profit organization, we rely on families, like yours, to help house our casts on our various music outreach programs. Please consider opening your home. Host families have helped house over 3,000 Young Americans in 25 countries. It’s really one of the most rewarding aspects for the workshop participants and their families. You can volunteer during the registration process or CLICK HERE to apply without registering a student.

Families that host our cast members will receive $50 off per camper (in the immediate family). For example, if you have two kids attending camp, you would save $100. The discount will be applied as a refund once camp has begun. Unfortunately, we can not apply the discount before then.

What discounts are offered?

We offer an automatic multi-registrant discount for registering more than one camper.

If you register more than one student, you will receive $15 off per student registered.

How do I sign up for a scholarship?

You can sign up for a scholarship as part of the registration process! On the review page, it will ask if you wish to apply for a scholarship. You will be prompted to answer a few additional questions. Our scholarship team will review your responses and notify you a week before your workshop begins. 

Is it okay to miss part of the camp?

Yes! We understand your students are busy! When your student returns, let any Young American know, and they will be more than happy to catch them up on anything they missed.

Does my student need performing experience?

This workshop is designed to have something for everyone. If your student has never sung or danced before, we want to give them an opportunity to try something new in a safe space. However, if your student has a lot of performing experience, we would love to help them hone and improve your skills.

Is it okay to drop my student off before registration begins?

There will be no supervision for your child from The Young Americans until the beginning of registration at 9:00 AM.

What is your refund policy?

Your registration fee will be refunded (less any service charges) when you cancel at least 1 week prior to the camp start date. If you cancel within the 1 week prior to the start of camp, you will receive a 50% refund (less any service charges) of the total camp fee due. NO REFUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE ONCE THE CAMP BEGINS. If you are unable to attend camp due to a medical or family emergency and need to cancel within one week of camp, please email summercamps@youngamericans.org to request refund information.
