Europe Music Outreach Tour
In 2001, The International Music Outreach Tour made its debut in Europe. That first year we visited 13 schools and 1,950 students. Today we are now touring to continental Europe 6 months throughout the year conducting 40 workshops for over 10,000 students.

BEFORE YAs: I planned on finishing my degree in criminal justice and becoming a police detective.
HIGH SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULARS: I played football, wrote for the yearbook, and was very active in choir.
WHY I JOINED THE YAs: I have always wanted to help out and make a difference, the YAs gave me the opportunity to do just that on an incredible scale.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I plan on finishing my degree and returning to my hometown to help support dwindling arts programs.

BEFORE YAs: I planned to go to Tennessee State University until I got accepted to the Young Americans.
HIGH SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULARS: I was in Spanish Club, Choir and a group called Best Buddies. I also had a part time job and Culvers and spent most of my afternoons there.
WHY I JOINED THE YAs: Because they inspired me so much with their kindness towards the kids and each other, and their love for music.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I would love to move to Southern California and go to college :)

BEFORE YAs: I planned on going to Marrymount Manhattan in New York for musical theatre.
HIGH SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULARS: My freshman year I did cheer leading, but after that i did as much theatre and show choir as I could do. I also took dance (ballroom, tap, etc..) and was in over 50 plays and musicals.
JOINED THE YAs: Because when I did the workshop it felt right.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I plan on moving to New York and auditioning for Broadway while getting a bachelors in Musical Theatre and Forensic Psychology.

BEFORE YAs: The original plan was to go to University of Colorado Boulder and study Speech, Hearing and Language Sciences… not that I had any clue where that would take me, but because I had no idea what I actually wanted to do!
HIGH SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULARS: Choir and the soccer team, both school team and club team.
WHY I JOINED THE YAs: I was drawn in by the way the Young Americans made me feel as a kid in the workshop; I loved their unexplainable and incomparable passion for the arts, for teaching, and for life. (Of course the traveling experience was the cherry on top!)
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I plan to go to university (location undecided) and finish up my Associates and continue on to Bachelors degree in Child Development or Social Services. I am interested in teaching high school or maybe a juvenile detention center.

BEFORE YAs: I was going to move down to London to pursue a dance career there, and if that didn’t work … I was going to go to university to study Physics.
HIGH SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULARS: Well I danced …all the time! And in my spare time I did Acro Gymnastics :) I also loved going into classes and helping to teach the kids at dance and gymnastics.
WHY I JOINED THE YAs: I took workshop when I was 9 and decided that I wanted to be a YA when I grew up! I also met the YA’s at Dance ex where my love for the group just grew and grew.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I’d love to work as a professional dancer, my life’s ambition is to be in Cats the musical! But I love teaching and I can’t wait to work as a dance teacher!

WHY I JOINED THE YAs: Through the experience of Dance Excellence I had a realization that the Young Americans was successful at doing what I wanted to do in life, which was to help people and change the world positively.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I would love to be a counselor, therapist, or psychologist just to help people through their problems: make them feel special and wonderful, because everyone deserves to feel that way.

WHY I JOINED THE YAs: I saw young Americans perform at dance excellence when I was 16, not the right time to audition. I was completely blown away by their passion, so during that decision time of my life ( senior year of high school) I spontaneously flew to California and auditioned.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I want to get certified to be a massage therapist and also a personal trainer/health awareness instructor. Once I get enough money I will go to college.

BEFORE YAs: My plan to be a Young American was actually always my Plan A since I was 12. My Plan B would’ve been a elementry or kindergarten teacher.
HIGH SCHOOL EXTRA CURRICULARS: I tried a lot in school but I really stayed with my choir, that was my “thing”.
WHY I JOINED THE YAs: What made me join the YAs is that I saw from the first second in my first workshop how much they gave the kids motivation and the feeling to be important and to this connection with singing and dancing, what I really love, was just the perfect combination for me. I just loved seing how the kids grew every day a little more.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I definitely want to keep working with kids. I don’t really know where it will lead me but I want to be with kids, that’s for sure.

WHY I JOINED THE YAs: I took 2 workshops as a town kid and fell in love. I grew up learning the arts from former Young Americans and I aspired to be just like them. Plus its the only place where I can do EVERYTHING that I love; sing, dance, work with kids, teach, perform, and travel.
MY PLANS AFTER YAs: I’m hoping to get a job in the business, performing somewhere fingers crossed! If all else fails I might want to teach or go back to law school.
